Vigo County commissioners approved a utility reimbursement agreement with Duke Energy totaling $215,909.21 to cover the utility’s relocation costs on the Clinton Street project (Park Avenue to Hasselburger).
Highway department official Robbins presented the agreement, saying the county has acquired the necessary property interests for the project and that the project is scheduled for letting on April 8. Robbins told the commissioners the reimbursement will allow Duke Energy to proceed with relocation work so the project consultant can move forward with construction planning.
Commissioners moved and approved the reimbursement agreement during the meeting. Robbins did not indicate any remaining property acquisitions were required.
County staff said they will execute the agreement and return it to the consultant so relocation work can be scheduled ahead of the April letting.
