New recommended routing any ordinance changes through the zoning-ordinance subcommittee and said staff would prepare draft language and present it during the regular appointment schedule this summer. Council members generally supported pursuing up to two alternates, asked that conflict-of-interest and seating rules mirror existing practices used for the zoning board of adjustment, and agreed staff should return with proposals through the subcommittee.
