The Apple Valley City Council voted March 12 to approve a full on-sale intoxicating liquor license, including Sunday sales, for Spice Village LLC at the Times Square Complex.
Christina, staff, told the council Spice Village previously held a beer-and-wine license and is now asking to expand to a full liquor license; staff reported no concerns. She noted the business is the first to benefit from a recent ordinance amendment that removed the conditional-use-permit requirement for an on-sale liquor license.
The council opened the public hearing and heard no public testimony. A motion to adopt the resolution approving the license passed by voice vote.
Council members and staff praised the adjacent grocery and restaurant setup and encouraged residents to visit the business.
What’s next: Staff will issue the license consistent with city licensing procedures and update the public licensing list on the city website.
