Summary
The council approved pulled consent items, recorded roll-call votes, and appointed two applicants to the emergency preparedness committee; staff will expand the APR record on open-space changes noted in public comments.
The Woodside Town Council on March 24 approved portions of the consent calendar, recorded roll-call votes, and appointed two applicants to the town's emergency preparedness committee.
At the start of the consent calendar the council agreed to pull items 1 and 4 for additional review and discussion. After deliberations and public input, the council approved consent-calendar items (including item 6) through a roll-call motion.
The council also voted to add two applicants to the emergency preparedness committee after the appointments subcommittee recommended moving forward. The council welcomed the new committee members at the meeting.
During discussion of the General Plan APR (a pulled consent item), planning staff agreed to incorporate factual context about prior open-space decisions at Raymundo Drive and High Road and to reference updated fire maps. Council members asked that the APR present actions factually rather than grade them, and staff said they would update the report before submission to the state.
The council then moved on to a public hearing and additional agenda business, and adjourned at the end of the meeting.
