At the March 2026 meeting the Kiel Common Council completed several routine actions: it gave final approval to transfer a regular liquor license to the business identified in the meeting as 'Kiel House DBA Gente's Pizza'; it approved a certified survey map to merge city-owned parcels for a new DPW/utilities site; it approved an extraterritorial certified survey map for a Meggers Road property (possible future annexation); it accepted donations read into the record; and it approved receipts and disbursements.
Each item was moved, seconded and approved by recorded votes (all recorded 4-0). On the liquor-license vote, the clerk took roll call (yes votes recorded). On the land-use items, staff explained the parcel consolidation was needed so the new DPW/utilities structure could be built without crossing lot lines. The extraterritorial split was described as the first house outside the city limits and may be annexed in the future. The council accepted donations as read, including a $500 donation for the fire department.
