The California Victim Compensation Board approved on March 19 an interagency agreement with the Government Operations Agency for $300,000 over a three-year term to provide ongoing administrative support.
Deputy Executive Officer Shawn Ramirez presented the contract, saying, "This is an interagency agreement with the government operations agency for $300,000 for a 3 year term ending 06/30/2029." Prior to discussion, Chair Ravel stated for the record, "I'm an employee of the Government Operations Agency, and so I am going to recuse myself from any discussion or voting on this item under Government Code section 1091.5."
Board member Linda Johnson moved to approve and Member Becton seconded. With Chair Ravel abstaining, the motion passed with two ayes and no no votes recorded.
The interagency agreement was presented as a requested approval item; the board recorded the vote and moved on to subsequent agenda business.
