Survey results also flagged technology concerns: students reported an average of 52% of the school day using Chromebooks in some grades, while only 29% of students said they felt more focused after recent phone‑use restrictions. The superintendent noted emergency communication was a top concern: 74% of students reported anxiety about not being able to contact family during the school day in an emergency.
Board members asked for deeper breakdowns of open‑ended responses and demographic cross‑tabs; staff said the student success committee will analyze the data further and return with more detailed findings.
Staff said the survey will be run again to track trends and help guide advisory and elective offerings, including potential curriculum and scheduling changes tied to future personal‑finance requirements.
