On a separate agenda item, the council considered pay tied to wastewater certification for Aaron Sizemore. A council member moved to defer the item to the April work study. The council adopted the deferral by roll call; recorded yes votes in that roll-call exchange included Borders, Staples, Jones, Touser and Brown. The presiding official declared the motion passed.
The meeting also added and then took up an item on the mayor’s mileage reimbursements from October to the present. The mayor apologized for submitting several months of mileage late, saying, "I apologize for having 1, 2, 3, 4 months in there. I didn't realize I wasn't turning it in until Kelly told me that she hadn't opened no checks in September. So I had to get busy and get it together." The council approved the mileage reimbursement by roll call; recorded yes responses included Staples, Jones, Albert, Brown and Porter. The chair stated the record reflected the item passed unanimously.
With no one signed up for public comment, a motion to adjourn was made and seconded and the meeting ended.
