"We can look into it... I would say we're probably 3 months out," Charles said when asked about the timeline for RFP development and construction.
Residents from the Henrys Mill Drive area and other commenters expressed concern about temporary access during paving and suggested the town use CodeRED or similar messaging to notify families and school traffic patterns. Council added an amendment to the motion to include linear pricing for extended paving so the town can add nearby streets in the future without rebidding full scope.
The motion (2026-14) passed unanimously with council members present; staff will prepare the RFP and return with schedule details and communication plans for affected residents.
