Lancaster Police Department reports 13 officer candidates moving through hiring process

A Lancaster Police Department representative briefed the Lancaster Criminal Justice Commission that 13 applicants have cleared interviews and are moving forward in the hiring pipeline.
"We have 13 officers who have made it through the interview process and are moving on in our process," the LPD representative said, adding the department is hiring 18 positions in total. Commissioners asked whether the 13 are additional hires or total; the LPD representative clarified they are newly in process while the department continues recruitment.
The commission thanked the department for the update and asked for the total staffing figure to be shared in future updates.
