The presiding officer invited Look to take a seat with the board and asked her to pose for a photograph with family before the board adjourned. The appointment followed a selection process in which the board reviewed 12 applicants and conducted interviews over two evenings, the presiding officer said. With Look seated, the board took a second roll call to confirm a full board for the remainder of the meeting.
No formal conditions or amendments to the appointment were recorded in the meeting minutes. The board moved next into routine agenda items and later recessed into closed session; it reconvened and adjourned the meeting the same evening.
