Rancho Palos Verdes Community Foundation board ratifies documents, sets meeting schedule

Rancho Palos Verdes City Manager Arum Maranian said the City Council hosted the first board meeting of the Rancho Palos Verdes Community Foundation before the regular March 17 session, and the board took initial organizational steps.
Maranian said the board ratified the foundation's founding documents, set a quarterly meeting schedule and authorized staff to move forward with next steps, including policies, branding and outreach. "The nonprofit foundation is intended to support the city and residents through community focused funding," she said.
The city manager said the next board meeting is tentatively scheduled for June 16. The update did not include the board's membership list, any funding commitments, or a formal timeline for when the foundation would begin grantmaking.
