At the start of the Feb. 10 meeting the community director told the Planning Commission staff has received resident feedback that differing start times across advisory bodies is confusing. The director asked the commission to consider shifting its meeting start time earlier to align with the City Council and the Heritage Preservation Board; a rationale cited by staff was reduced overtime and staff costs for hourly employees.
The community director also summarized outcomes from a city-council retreat held on Saturday and said Council expressed support for the Planning Commission to analyze floor-area-ratio (FAR) regulations and a broader list of zoning-ordinance topics. Staff said it will return with a set of zoning issues to evaluate and possible streamlining options.
