Staff reported completion of an electric conversion for the pool boiler and said PG&E and contractors were on site; the pool was scheduled to reopen the following morning. The public art advisory committee reported a strong response to its bridal-bench request for proposals, with roughly 60 submissions; the committee shortlisted options for the marina, the Mission Blue center and the dog park and asked the public to apply to serve on the committee. Staff also previewed community programs and events, including a mental-health walk in May, a spring performance and a May 30 garden show with expanded categories (including a proposed edible/herb category) and Chamber of Commerce sponsorship.
