The Housing Commission of the City of Needles voted unanimously March 25 to adopt the housing authority's annual agency plan for 2026'27, approving updates to the Administrative Plan, the Admissions and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP) and the public-housing lease.
Angelica Gerimer, identified in the meeting as the housing manager, guided the commission through the changes and said the update is largely a continuity of the authority's five-year plan. "I'm here to let you know about our annual plan," Gerimer said, summarizing the three principal revisions staff marked as significant.
The adopted changes include several applicant- and tenant-facing procedural rules. Discrimination complaints must now be submitted in writing; the authority will allow reasonable accommodations that adjust rent-due dates to match benefit disbursement schedules (for example Social Security); and staff expanded denial criteria to…
