The Wildomar Planning Commission elected Commissioner Chi King as chair and approved a vice chair during its Feb. 4, 2026 meeting.
The commission moved item 3.1 earlier in the agenda so members could vote on officers. A motion to nominate King for chair was seconded and approved by voice vote, recorded as carrying 4-0. A commissioner nominated themself for vice chair; that motion also passed by voice vote, 4-0. After the votes, Director of Community Development Robert Flores asked Chair King to take the dais to run the remainder of the meeting.
The officer elections occurred at the start of the regular session, following the oath of office administered to newly sworn Commissioner John Hume. The meeting then proceeded to the flag salute, public comment and routine business.
No staff-reported controversies or roll-call dissents were recorded during the officer elections; ballots were voice votes recorded as unanimous. The commission approved the agenda and the consent calendar later in the meeting before taking up project items.
