Council approves selection of firm to operate wastewater system; contract to be fee‑negotiated

City staff said three proposals were received and reviewed by a selection panel; interviews were conducted and Woodard & Curran ranked highest based on experience, key personnel and demonstrated understanding of the work. Staff said fee negotiations were ongoing and that the contract will be funded entirely from the water and sewer fund, without general‑fund impact.
Council members had brief questions about firm relationships to any prior work in Adelanto; staff said the firm is reputable and this would be their first wastewater award in the city. After a brief public comment period with no speakers, council approved the selection by roll call.
