Staff confirms April 25 fun run route and schedule; sponsorship logistics remain under review

Commissioners and staff discussed sponsorship mechanisms. Staff noted that electronic payment processing for sponsors is not currently available and that many sponsorships historically were in‑kind or managed through partner organizations. A staff member suggested creating or working with a "Friends of the Parks and Rec" nonprofit that could accept sponsor funds and disburse them to support events. The ad hoc committee is scheduled to meet again Feb. 10 and March 10 as planning continues.
Staff will follow up on sponsor payment options and report back to the ad hoc committee.
