Nevada City welcomes new city manager and swears in new commissioner

The Nevada City Public Arts Commission on March 4 welcomed new City Manager Carrie Wright and administered the oath of office to newly seated Commissioner Magdela Muskell.
Wright, introduced by Chair Celine Negrete, said the arts commission was her first official meeting in Nevada City and described her background in exhibit and design work, including roles with the California State Fair and UC Davis. "You are my very first official meeting," Wright said, and she expressed enthusiasm about working with a town that values history and arts.
Later in the meeting the commission conducted a formal oath of office for Magdela Muskell; the transcript records the standard oath language and the commissioner signing the oath. The oath and subsequent roll call record Commissioner Muskell as present for votes that followed.
Chair Negrete and commissioners welcomed both Wright and Muskell and discussed onboarding steps ahead of a planned workshop to set commission priorities.
