Council member Erickson and others noted staffing is a likely constraint and asked that the evaluation include an analysis of labor and operational costs required to add Saturday availability. The motion—restated by the city clerk—directed staff to evaluate current facility usage, consider increasing community reservations to every Saturday, conduct outreach to neighbors, and analyze staffing needs. The motion passed on the floor and the council approved the direction to staff.
Staff will return with a 90-day report including community outreach results, staffing estimates and recommendations on any pilot or phased expansion.
