Tyler, identified in the meeting as the city’s code compliance supervisor, told the council the work often goes unnoticed and described code enforcement as “not just enforcers of rules” but as educators and problem solvers who help preserve property values and public health. Council members joined staff for a photo following the recognition.
The proclamation was ceremonial and required no council action. The recognition was followed by brief council remarks on recent storm cleanup and appreciation for public works and enforcement staff.
