The Council President read the ordinance summary and the administration noted that the Ohio Revised Code requires a five‑year review. The Director of Public Service and Safety and other administration representatives reported they were not aware of issues with the DORA's operation and saw no reason to discontinue it. "The ORC requires every 5 years that that be reviewed," the administration said during the discussion.
One councilor recused themself from consideration of this item. The council set the ordinance for a second reading at the next meeting; no final action was taken at this session.
