Montclair honors Little League Brewers after District 23 championship

Mayor Dutre introduced league president Julio Soriano and asked coaches, players and families to join the dais. Soriano and coaches praised volunteers and the years of work that led to the championship; an Assembly representative, Roxanna, presented certificates on behalf of Assemblywoman Michelle Rodriguez.
Council members thanked coaches and parents for their time and commitment and noted the win was the first district championship for Montclair in decades. Council member comments emphasized the broader community value of youth sports and a planned investment in Saratoga Park renovations to support local athletics.
The council recessed briefly for photos and applauded the team.
