Board approves bills, street-sweeping contract and a right-of-way resolution

The Beecher Village Board approved routine financial and operational items Wednesday, including payment of bills and payroll, a small public-works contract and an intergovernmental resolution.
The finance committee moved to approve the list of bills and payroll totaling $108,592.68; the board adopted the motion by roll-call vote.
On public-works business, the board approved a $6,200 contract with Concrete Commercial Sweeping, Inc. to provide street sweeping services. Trustee Gardner described the service as necessary to satisfy the pollution-prevention housekeeping minimum control measures required by the village's MS4 permit; the contract covers sweeping streets, curb lines, subdivision entrances/exits and intersections.
The board also adopted Resolution 2026-02, presented by Trustee Gardner, which authorizes the village to perform work in Illinois state rights-of-way (location, construction, operation and maintenance of driveways, water main, sanitary and storm sewers, street lights, sidewalks and similar work) without requiring a separate permit for every occurrence; the resolution reflects the standard two-year reauthorization municipalities periodically adopt.
All three measures were approved by roll call. The board also approved the meeting minutes from Feb. 23 and adjourned at the end of the session.
