Applicant withdraws South 16th rezoning application after notice published

Chuckle Porter, community development director, said the application and accompanying lot split were submitted Feb. 12 and that the property owner requested withdrawal on March 6. Porter noted there is a typographical error in the published item (transcript contains multiple references to 5235, 5232 and 5323); staff presented the item because public notice had already run. The commission opened the public hearing, no one spoke, and the chair closed it; staff indicated that no formal motion was required because the applicant had withdrawn the applications.
Why it matters: the withdrawal means the commission will not forward a recommendation on the listed application; the typographical confusion in the agenda/report was noted on the record.
Next steps: staff will notify the commission by email about the special meeting on April 2 and will continue to process applications as requested by applicants.
