U-46 board authorizes multiple personnel non-renewals and dismissal notices

At the March 16 meeting the board approved a group of personnel resolutions that authorize non-renewal notices, notices of dismissal and honorable dismissal actions across several employee categories.
Assistant Superintendent Mark Moore presented the annual set of resolutions required by state timelines and district practice. The board voted to authorize non-renewal of first-, second- and third-year probationary teachers (Resolution 2574); notice of dismissal to final-year probationary teachers (2575); honorable dismissal of teachers (2576); notice of dismissal to tenured teachers without an Illinois professional educator license (2597); non-renewal of first-, second- and third-year non-tenured administrators (2587); non-renewal of administrative contracts and reassignment of tenured administrators (2589); and honorable dismissal of educational support personnel funded by project personnel (2584).
Each motion was moved and seconded and carried on roll calls recorded in the meeting record. The board stated these actions follow state guidelines that allow for staff dismissal up to 45 days before the end of the school year and emphasized that some individuals may be rehired if budget and program decisions change and licensure requirements are met.
