Town Clerk Averi R. Parker told the council she had begun planning for the 2025 Christmas Festival and asked for formal direction on vendor fees and the festival theme-selection process. Commissioner Scott Briley moved to waive vendor fees; the motion did not receive a second and therefore failed.
Commissioner Craig New then moved to lower food-truck vendor fees to $100, seconded by Commissioner Tony Bennett; that motion passed 3-1. The council separately voted to keep craft vendor pricing the same after a motion by Commissioner Bennett, seconded by Commissioner New; that motion also passed 3-1.
Parker said the town's previous theme-survey approach was successful and proposed reusing suggested themes from last year while omitting last year's winning theme; the council did not take a separate vote on theme selection at this meeting. The minutes record procedural discussion and the two fee votes; they do not list precise prior craft-vendor pricing amounts.
