The Weston Board of Education curriculum subcommittee on April 1 approved the February meeting minutes and closed the meeting after hearing multiple presentations on curriculum initiatives and extracurricular programming.
Peter (speaker 1) moved to approve the February minutes; Nicole (speaker 3) seconded and the committee approved the motion by voice/raised hands. Chair (speaker 2) then presented multiple agenda items, after which the group reviewed paperwork for an overnight field trip: the Weston High School mock-trial team advanced to nationals in Iowa, nine students will travel May 6–10, and district staff confirmed chaperone coverage and a detailed itinerary will accompany the request to the full board for final approval. Chair said the subcommittee would forward the documentation and recommendation for board action.
In closing, a member moved to adjourn; the motion was seconded and the committee closed the meeting. Committee members used remaining time to discuss career-day planning, internships and other district outreach ideas.
