Administrative actions included the appointment of Jeffrey Alvarez to the Southwest Corner Workforce Development Board and a letter of authorization allowing two public safety staff to coordinate utility service setup for radio communication sites.
Human resources proposals approved by the board included an AI policy intended to protect employees and residents while enabling beneficial uses of AI; an updated web accessibility policy; an updated business continuity and disaster recovery policy; and a three‑year contract with NCEU Local 132 (effective Jan. 1, 2026–Dec. 31, 2028) providing 3% annual raises for 2026–2028.
Purchasing authorized advertising bids for the Cross Creek County Park shoreline preservation project and approved an agreement with Allegheny County to house adult offenders on an as‑needed basis at $177.81 per inmate per day (plus medical expenses) for an agreement effective 04/01/2026–05/30/2027 unless terminated in writing. The board also approved participation in Westcorp, a regional cooperative to support acquisition of 911 technologies (noting partner funding), and authorized an IT payment to ESRI for $60,733 for GIS software maintenance shared across three departments.
