Council approves multiple board and commission appointments
Summary

Appointments approved included Trinity Dunlap to the Convention Center Advisory Committee (hotelier), Atiba Johnson to the Greater Downtown Special Area Plan Steering Committee, Michael Mower to the Encino Sports Park user group (rugby representative), and four appointments to the Community Relations Advisory Committee (with emphases on faith, business, nonprofit and Title VII groups). Additional recommendations included reappointments and nominations for the sister cities commission, ports/waterway/beach commission, Thalian Association and the City of Wilmington Housing Affordability Advisory Committee.
Solette Andrews, chair of the Appointments Committee, moved the slate; the council approved the appointments unanimously.
