Area Plan Commission forwards subdivision and rezone to commissioners

Staff told the commission the request falls under Decatur County ordinance sections 9-15 and 9-20 sub 7. Commission members had no objections and there were no public concerns recorded in the hearing; a member moved to accept the petition and the commission approved it. Staff advised the petitioners that the item will proceed to the county commissioners for final approval and to remain in contact with county staff regarding surveys and permitting.
The approval by the commission is a referral to the county commissioners for final action; the petitioners were instructed to keep in touch with county staff as they prepare final plans and documents.
