Broken Arrow board approves instructional leadership shifts and several facility contracts

Miss Graves (presenter) recommended reorganizing existing district instructional roles and nominated Pam Jones as director of RTI and assessment, Nate Hutchings as director of school leadership and Samantha Trautman as director of elementary special services for the 2026–27 school year. Each nomination was moved, seconded and approved by roll call.
District staff member Mr. Leach presented several procurement items. He recommended awarding the Arrowhead Elementary walk‑in cooler replacement contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Construction Enterprises Inc., for $159,093; Mr. Leach said the cost will be covered with Child Nutrition Funds. The board approved the contract by roll call.
Mr. Leach also reported Change Order No.1 to the Broken Arrow High School Fine Arts renovation, which resulted in a net decrease of $19,654.30 to Flintco’s contract (contract dated 04/15/2024); the board approved the change order. Finally, Mr. Leach recommended awarding the Broken Arrow Memorial Stadium turf replacement contract to Mammoth Sports Construction for $429,986, to be paid from building funds. He said typical turf replacement is about every eight years and that the contractor agreed to complete the rip‑and‑replace work in a roughly three‑week window between graduation and July 1. The board approved the turf contract by roll call.
The meeting then moved toward new business and ultimately voted to enter executive session.
