The North Las Vegas City Council on Feb. 4 adopted Ordinance 3268, repealing and replacing Chapter 8.08 of the municipal code to update ambulance franchising, definitions, application procedures and rate-adjustment provisions.
Staff presented the ordinance as item 18 and recommended adoption. Mayor Goins Brown called for a motion; a councilmember moved to adopt the ordinance and the motion passed. The transcript records the motion and its passage but does not include a roll-call tally in the public remarks.
The ordinance description in the meeting packet, read aloud by staff, lists changes to ambulance franchising and rate-adjustment language and updates to related definitions. No further debate or amendments were recorded in the meeting transcript.
Also during the same session the Redevelopment Agency agenda and the city consent agenda were approved without recorded questions. Staff presented the redevelopment-agency agenda, a motion was made and passed; the single consent item for the agency was also approved. The city council later approved the consent agenda (items 4โ16) after a motion with no recorded opposition.
The meeting did not record vote tallies for Ordinance 3268 or the consent motions in the public remarks included in the transcript. The council proceeded to introduce several zoning ordinances for future consideration (see separate article).
