Board unanimously approves multiple procurement awards, ARPA purchases, and a consulting change order

At its Dec. 18 meeting the Danbury Board of Awards approved a set of procurement items and a consulting change order, each by unanimous voice vote.
The board awarded testing and consulting services from a competitive RFP to National Testing Network (NTN) for entry‑level firefighter exams and to Resource Management Associates (RMA) for public safety promotional exams, on the basis of qualifications and competitive fees. That award was moved, seconded and carried unanimously.
For parks maintenance, the apparent low sealed bidder for a Toro multi‑force mower and attachment was Capital Equipment & Marine at $16,153; the purchase is funded through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) and the board approved awarding the purchase order to the low bidder.
The finance department requested a change order to increase a previously issued purchase order to PKF O'Connor Davies; Colton said the finance request increases the prior "not to exceed" amount by $92,132.97 (the prior award amount had been $310,000). The board approved the amendment, contingent on required approvals.
The director of technology services submitted a requisition for configuration, testing and deployment services using the state's contract with Total Communications for $28,000; the board authorized the award based on the state contract.
All motions were approved by unanimous voice vote in the transcript. The meeting adjourned after the items and the added Bus Patrol item were addressed.
