The justice said, “Can we go back to that sheriff's department ordinance? Because there there wasn't any discussion on it, and it passed.”
On appointments, the court moved and seconded the nomination of Dave Dacus Jr. to fill a library‑board vacancy through Dec. 31, 2030. The court thanked Dacus Jr. for stepping up and approved the appointment by voice vote.
The clerk and court staff indicated that items pulled from tonight’s agenda — including a personnel inclement‑weather amendment — will be reworked by the committee and returned for future consideration.
