The Midway City Council on May 20 approved Resolution 2025-11, a third amendment to The Homestead Resort master plan, and approved related plat map amendments for The Homestead Resort and The Homestead Hotel Condominiums.
Planning Director Michael Henke said the amendment relocates the maintenance building and combines golf-cart storage with maintenance facilities at a lower elevation to lessen visibility from neighboring properties. The proposal also limits spa parking to 10 spaces and calls for landscaping north of Fairway Drive to discourage unauthorized use of private roads through The Links at Homestead.
Applicant Ben Shakespear said the spa access from Pine Canyon Road should not become a main entrance; guests would be shuttled from the main building to the spa. The Council noted two neighborhood meetings were held and approved the master plan amendment and the plat map adjustments with findings that open space remained unchanged and that the relocation reduced visual impacts. All votes were recorded with Drury excused.
