At its March meeting the St Clair County Schools Board of Education approved its consent agenda and a series of personnel and program items by voice vote.
The board approved the rehiring of Ernie Pleece for an afternoon custodial position and accepted resignations from Jared Seabert, Emma Winkleman and Christy Lawton (Christy announced as retiring at the end of the 2025–26 school year). The board also approved hiring Jose Daniel Martinez for custodial work, granted a family leave of absence for Connie Cohen, and approved Nick Anderson as the junior high basketball/baseball coach for the spring season. All of these items were approved after motions and seconding and were carried by voice vote.
In addition, the board approved the 2026–27 adult basic education agreement with the Mankato-area consortium (ISD 77 serving as fiscal agent) which will provide adult basic education services to district residents, and it approved proposed changes to student council membership and a revised student council handbook (moving council to grades 9–12). The board noted that the 2026–27 district calendar had not yet been submitted and will be shared once finalized.
Chair called for no further discussion on each item before asking for a vote; the meeting minutes and supporting documentation contain the full resolutions and contracts.
