"For 2627, our ADM is coming in at 2993, compared to this current year of 2984," Campbell said. "We're gonna get funded on 2993." He said the projected difference from earlier budget estimates results in about $278,000 less state school fund revenue, which the district will monitor but does not expect to materially affect the ending fund balance this year.
Campbell also summarized the audit included with the board packet: "We have been issued a clean opinion, unmodified opinion, with no findings to report." He said the most significant change reported by auditors was the district's additional debt related to a bond issue; those entries affected the audit totals but were expected.
On broader state funding, Campbell said the Oregon Department of Education's mid-biennium adjustments have not produced K-12 cuts for the current year for the district, though some previously funded grants (such as early literacy) were not restored. He recommended continued advocacy for special education funding and monitoring enrollment trends.
Trustees asked clarifying questions about the projected figures and potential impacts on athletic and construction timelines; staff said they would return with additional detail if needed.
