North Las Vegas Library board approves MOU with Nevada Hand to expand on‑site programming

The North Las Vegas Library District Board of Trustees voted Nov. 25 to approve a memorandum of understanding with Nevada Hand designed to formalize on‑site programming in the nonprofit’s affordable housing communities.
Shelly Alexander described the partnership as a formal agreement to provide library outreach—story times, technology assistance and resource navigation—at Nevada Hand properties in North Las Vegas. Alexander said there is no cost to the district under the proposed MOU.
Trustee Henry moved to approve the MOU and the board approved the motion by voice vote.
Staff said the agreement would allow outreach teams to work on site with residents and support basic services the library routinely provides through its outreach program.
