Elko County School District approves moving Flagview fifth graders into elementary schools after public comment

The decision matters because it reshapes staffing, classroom counts and support positions at Flagview and the receiving elementary schools. Anderson said the district will follow routine human-resources processes — transfer lists, job postings and internal priorities for certified staff — as it determines where affected teachers and support staff will be reassigned. "Obviously, teachers' jobs are gonna need to move to other schools," he said, and some support positions tied to school size may be reduced.
