At its April 2 meeting the Riley County Commission took the following recorded actions:
- Approved notice of award for Keith sanitary sewer improvements (motion moved and approved). - Approved CIP activations listed totaling $1,208,546. - Approved Resolution No. 040226 appointing county representatives to advisory boards. - Approved multiple employee action forms, including firefighter separation and a PIO position action form; commissioners agreed one commissioner will sit on the PIO hiring committee. - Approved payroll and accounts payable. - Approved the county contract with KDOT to treat noxious weeds on state roads and approved the Riley County 2025 noxious-weed annual report and the 2026 noxious-weed management plan. - Referred bids for the 2026 asphalt-overlay program and chip-seal work to staff for evaluation and recommendation. - Approved the MOU between Stronghold Food Pantry and Fort Riley WIC to support an April 9 pop-up pantry for military families. - Authorized Raleigh County Fire Department District 1 staff to apply for grants to obtain firefighter protective equipment.
