Board approves grants for dyslexia screening, high-ability programs, robotics and E-Rate technology work

The board also approved robotics competition grants to support team expenses. Lincoln High School will receive $3,157.92 and Clark Middle School will receive $2,793.28; funds will pay competition fees, teacher stipends and materials to build and enter competition robots.
On technology funding, speaker 7 described an E-Rate project totaling $51,134 to update cabling, battery backups and switches; the federal E-Rate program will cover $43,463.90 and the district will be responsible for $7,670. The board approved the budget motion related to the E-Rate funding by voice vote.
