The council considered several planning items, approving replats and hearing first readings of specific‑use and planned‑development amendments.
Planning Director Lisa Hannon entered staff reports for multiple items. Council approved RP250013, a replat for 505 North Lane Street that splits an existing 0.81‑acre parcel into two lots; approval was contingent upon the concurrent specific‑use permit process for an accessory dwelling on the south lot. Hannon said the design will require interior renovations to an existing duplex on the north lot and that no new curb, gutter or sidewalk requirements were triggered.
Council also approved RP250016, a replat for 801 South Trenchard Street (0.344 acres) that had concurrent special exceptions for the front porch and carport setbacks approved by the Board of Adjustments. Planning staff recommended approval in both cases; notified neighbors produced no formal objections for the Trenchard replat.
On a first reading, staff presented PD25004, a planned‑development amendment for Vista Park that would change a side‑yard setback standard from a percentage of lot width to a fixed 5‑foot minimum to provide clarity for irregular lots; Planning & Zoning recommended approval 5–0.
The council moved and approved the replats and accepted the planning commission recommendations on first readings where applicable; the accessory dwelling SUP will return to the council as a concurrent action item.
