Council hires Fishbeck for parking analysis and long-term strategy for $68,280

Wendy Delgado, director of operations, said the RFP closed in September and three firms responded. A four-person panel evaluated proposals; Fishbeck and Walker tied on scores but Fishbeck ranked higher with three of four panelists and submitted a lower price. Delgado said the study will collect parking data at multiple times during the year, including July, and host community stakeholder events to solicit input from residents and the business community.
Council discussion stressed the need for quantitative data to inform planning and zoning decisions; a motion to instruct the city manager to execute the Fishbeck contract for $68,280 passed on a council vote.
