Council approves minutes and payments, then moves to closed session on litigation and personnel

At the March 4 meeting Mayor Mary Wintch called for approval of the Feb. 18, 2026 council minutes; Councilmember Jennifer Christiansen moved to approve, Councilmember Brian Francois seconded, and the motion passed unanimously (Meagan Johnson, Mary Pipes, AJ Mower, Jennifer Christiansen, Brian Francois).
Mayor Wintch then asked for approval of the Payment Approval Report; Councilmember Mary Pipes moved and Councilmember AJ Mower seconded approval of bills from Feb. 18 through the present; the council voted unanimously to approve. The mayor gathered consensus to donate $100 to Sanpete County Search and Rescue.
Councilmember AJ Mower moved and Councilmember Jennifer Christiansen seconded to adjourn the regular meeting and enter a closed session to discuss current litigation and personnel issues; the motion passed unanimously and the council adjourned into closed session at 8:00 p.m. Signing of bills and payroll occurred after adjournment. The council scheduled its next regular meeting for April 1, 2026.
