Faylyn Warnick of the Sanpete County Chamber presented an update on "Square One," a new business incubator that will be housed in the old granary building in Ephraim. She said Square One will partner with Snow College’s entrepreneurship program and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to help home-based businesses scale to Main Street storefronts.
Warnick told the council that the incubator partners are seeing demand for office space in the region and encouraged coordination with Manti to provide offices for businesses working with Square One; City Manager Jason Brown said the city will soon advertise space for lease in the city office building.
Mayor Wintch thanked Warnick for the report; no formal action was taken at the meeting.
