Councilmember AJ Mower asked staff to include concise language setting a maximum number of occupants per property, arguing a bedroom limit alone may not control crowding or noise. Resident Sean Olsen, who initiated the STR discussion in an earlier meeting, told the council he remains concerned that relying on curfew language alone could allow problematic rentals to continue to generate noise and complaints.
Council and staff did not adopt a final ordinance at the meeting; staff indicated further drafting and an anticipated public hearing on related moratoria and ordinances for April 1, 2026.
