At the Anna Community Development Corporation and Anna Economic Development Corporation meeting on Dec. 11, staff presented a $20,000 downtown grant to Fourth and Main Barber Company for completed interior and exterior renovations.
Selena Tittle (EDC manager) reminded the board that the grant was approved a few months earlier and said the business had finished the renovations. "They've done a tremendous job," she said, and invited board members and residents to visit the business. Catherine Swofford, who was identified in the meeting as representing Fourth and Main Barber Company, accepted the check and thanked the board. "This has been a huge help to our shop, and we're so excited to be a part of the community for a lot of years to come," she said.
Board members and staff posed for a group photo to showcase the downtown grant program and its local impact. The presentation was included as part of the meeting's agenda before the board moved on to consent and other items.
