The Morrow County Board of Commissioners approved routine business including bills and fund transfers, amended a pay application for CW Mechanical, and approved an electric service agreement amendment with Energy Services East LLC.
The board adopted two proclamations: one declaring April 2026 as National County Government Month, and another designating April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. The child protection proclamation cited county statistics in 2025—145 reports investigated affecting 235 children—and referenced state House Bill 165, which designates April as a month to raise awareness about child abuse prevention.
The commissioners also approved a resolution authorizing Director of Operations Jamie Bradford to sign the title in Columbus for a totaled 2013 Transit maintenance vehicle so the county can receive insurance proceeds; Bradford explained the logistics and said the insurer required the title at a local office.
Several motions and roll-call approvals occurred throughout the meeting. The board recessed and later returned to regular session before continuing business and adjourning at the end of the meeting.
