Pike Township board rejects assistant AD hire, reopens position as co‑AD

During the March 26 MSD Pike Township School Board meeting, the board voted down the administration's recommended assistant athletic director and then approved a motion to repost the vacancy as a co-athletic director position.

The HR report was presented with the athletic-director item detached for separate consideration. After discussion, the board conducted a roll-call-style exchange on the recommended assistant AD and the recommendation did not carry. The board did not adopt a candidate for the assistant AD position at this meeting; the personnel matter will be reposted under the co‑AD title and reopened to applicants. No additional operational changes to the athletic program or specific salary terms were finalized during the meeting.
